Nirvana - they're just boring to me. And I resent that they got so massively popular and nobody gives two shits about the Melvins, the Butthole Surfers, Dinosaur Jr, and the others who paved the way, ya know? this is so fucking idiotic, don't you know how much kurt cobain hated nevermind because it got so popular? and honestly, none of those bands would probably want to be that super popular anyways, to them, some shit mattered more than being on the radio.
it always annoys me when people are up in arms that a band did or didn't get big/popular, because the band can't fucking control whether or not they get popular, no one can. things get popular both because they're accessible enough to hear on the radio (sometimes not, even) and simply because shit happens.

Dear God, no lol. Me and my dad get along just fine with the exception of this and a few others. He jams Paul Simon, Radiohead, Peter Gabriel, Bjork, Cocteau Twins, Pink Floyd, etc etc

Nevermind is by no means overrated for me. It was and still is VERY overplayed, but not overrated. Every song in Nevermind rules in my opinion.
Relatively to this album, I'm still giving it a last spin before I rate it. I'm standing between a 3.5 and a 4.

Nevermind is really good, but not quite deserving of the huge amounts of hyperbolic praise it
receives. As for MMT, the second half of this album is fucking amazing. I just wish they would have
included Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane on SPLHCB like they initially intended. With those two
songs, that album would have been close to perfect.
