There are some pretty good tracks off of the album but they should have limited it all onto one disk. There is so much filler on here that it ruins the experience.
While I'm not a fan of this album the movie is amazing.

the movie is very cool, but at the same time, very odd

Yeah, if you're not familiar with the crux of the story, you'll be simply confuzzled with the whole experience. I love it, but others may just see Bob Geldof banging on a wall for two hours and lose interest.
My only problem is the omission of Hey You. One of the best songs on the album.

I just got this. I love how Thin Ice goes Right into ANBITW. I haven't heard the second disc. yet (or half of the first). I like how it's more structured than DSOTM.

I think you AV8RS need to open your mind a little bit. You just can't understand nor comprehend it so you say you dont like it. Shame on you.
I'm sorry, do I know you? 'Cause you obviously seem to know alot about what I do and do not understand.

lol^. I hate when people say shit like that. I find you see a lot of that on youtube and it pisses me off.
This album gets more amazing every time I listen to it. Comfortably Numb gives me the willies.

Yeah, I like disc two a little more than the first. I just think the rise in the conflict and then the climax are so great.
I don't think it could be as well done if it were a book.

This one of the weaker Floyd albums in my opinion, the movie is way better but still not exellent.

I love many of the songs found on The Wall, but I have two major problems with it. 1) The feeling that some of these songs, i.e. bring the boys back home, are not true Floyd creations, but rather pieces that Roger Waters thought up in a few minutes and slammed onto the album. 2) The themes of the album. All of the othe Floyd albums have the central theme that life and society are unfair games to participate in, but are none the less essential and sometimes beautiful. The theme of the wall is about Roger's isolation from the rest of the world brought on by his fans. This is just depressing. Oh poor Roger Waters, founding member of one of the most popular bands in the world. Spare me.

The whole story line is a little weak for my likeing, an overused concept if you like.
