It’s interesting how close this album is to overloading the standard apple earbuds at any given moment.

What I don't understand about this band is why was Liam the lead singer when noel was clearly the superior vocalist, as well as the primary songwriter.

I was referencing Nateman. You’re right though, I’m far too intelligent for these knuckle-dragging morons (that’s Oasis, not the fanbase... although there is clearly some crossover).

how can you not hear the emotion in that version of don't go away.

i know that one is the best of the demos but they're not all great, man

he doesnt half ass demos

he has p much the whole song right there.

of course the whole composition is pretty much there but the sound is just so weak compared to any of the real album tracks

wish he would've done the whole album. lazy fuck

i think theres a charm in what people claim to be the faults in the original album but i also think the rethink sounds sick af and gives insight into what a less insanely produced version of this album woulda sounded like. imo the songwriting wasnt rlly the problem on be here now so full album rethink + switch out just a couple tracks for "stay young" and "going nowhere" (namely "fade in/out" and "magic pie") and you got an album that stands straight up against the previous two.

I wonder how hard it would be to get the album quality vocal tracks and to parse them in top of the the mustiqie demos. I want like one of those “albums that never were” reimagining or something

Noel has a very good voice but Liam just suits this band to a t. Imagine Noel singing Morning Glory or something.

they both have their place and that's why oasis were so good. i do prefer a lot of the mustique demoes though. fixes a lot of the production problems and noel is the goat. they are raw but it adds to it. and yeah the rethink is great although i understand where you're coming from dimsim. the original is still great, a testament to britishness, cocaine and making the biggest album possible. i think the rethink kept a lot of that but just toned it down. also some of the songs could've been cut down by a few minutes. anyways yeah i've come to really love this over the years. it's unique.
