I don't know, I still think Augmn fits okay (and is stunning stand-alone). Then again, I don't represent the majority view towards this thing since I don't rank Halleluhwah among the highlights.

if you like experimental noise collages sure, but they're so removed from the rest of the songs stylistically that it's just jarring to hear

"Halleluwah" is probably my favorite Can song so far... "Augmn" isn't really my thing. "Peking O" is superb though.

Yeah I can totally see it that way (and wholeheartedly agree when it comes to Peking O), but Augmn fits in for me somehow, dunno.



But it could also be there's something lost in translation when it comes to hearing the album nowadays vs. the original vinyl. Say, from Halleluhwah to Augmn you go from disc one to two, so the transition wasn't originally as sudden or jarring perhaps.

i dig Augmn but still don't think much of Peking O. still nothing I skip, but you cut those two tracks and it's down to 44 minutes - could be pressed onto a single LP. hard 5 and best Can if that were the case. as it stands Future Days is my jam.
