lol @ your 1. the self-titled is like a blueprint for mainstream heavy music. 1 is just disrespectful. Afterlife alone makes it a 2
I wonder how one can make an argument for any element (may it be the individual performances on the instruments and voice or the song structure or lyrics) of Under My Skin being objectively better on average throughout all the songs. we're talking about a 1 here dude.. see I think the album right here is pretty shitty but I still give it a 2.5 because there is much worse stuff out there and because it's semi-catchy on occasion (not that Afterlife doesn't do "being catchy" better too but still..).you give an album performance 99,9% of musicians can only dream of a 1... we know everything is subjective but there has to be some common ground, even online smh
this is a sputnik thing I guess. I mean Afterlife, Critical Acclaim, Almost Easy, A Little Piece Of Heaven are fan favorites when you ask around when talking to folks in real life
