I'm not gonna say some illiterate rant on why I like this album, because I know it's not going to change anyone's opinion. But uh, I am definitely going to state that the album has grown on me--a lot. I'm pretty much in love with every single song, although I still hate Unbound. I'm also not going to claim that the songwriting or lyrics or melodies or anything are wonderful, but they appeal to me and that's all that matters. You can chalk it up to my A7X fanboyism or whatever, but I'm defending it.

My God. I swear. Avenged Sevenfold could get a bad name based solely on the number of idiots that post stupid crap. Linking Park? AVX7? User Illusion? Avenged Seven Fold? No. No no no.
I would like to apologize on behalf of the A7X fans who actually have valid reasons for liking the album and try to argue intelligently. I'm sorry that a lot of people are idiots who can't string together a coherent sentence.

Its nice to see that i'm not the only A7X fan with more then half a brain.

I like Avenged Sevenfold, but after listening to this again and again, it really isn't that good. At first I thought it was pretty decent, but now, it's like uh...
Brompton Cocktail and Gunslinger are the only songs I can get through on this...maybe Dear God every now and then.

You basically just named my 3 least favourite songs on the album

and one of the best twin guitar attacks around
Peter Joseph and Patrick Pintavalle put Gates and Zacky V to death.

My favorite songs on the album are probably "Brompton Cocktail," "A Little Piece Of Heaven," "Critical Acclaim," and "Afterlife." The solo at the end of "Afterlife" is freaking amazing.

Nothing beats the awesomeness of the opening to Brompton Cocktail though.

The Afterlife solo is really good. Hearing Syn talking about it on the MVI just kind of solidifies my opinion about that.

Just got this and listened to it twice.
Critical Acclaim showed some promise with the heavy opening but I'm slightly disappointed in the album so far.
What the hell is A Little Piece of Heaven?!
Hopefully it'll grow on me, I really liked City of Evil and WTF

A Little Piece of Heaven definately grew on me. At first i didn't like it at all. Album's pretty good but still their worst.
