tbh Ford and budgie I don't miss the sluggish Mastodon of Trainwreck and Trilobite. It's great stuff but I am kind of glad they moved on from that.

idk man i've checked 3 of their albums. I dig the first 4 songs on crack, i dig most of this , i've never been able to ge past like the first 3 songs on leviathan. idk man ... doesn't seem as appealing as this sludge shit

3rd best Mastodon. As much as I like Crack the Skye (& they're obviously two very different albums), I prefer this. Leviathan is a better version of this, yes I get it's not exactly the same as this has sludge elements whereas they dropped the sludge influence after but they're similar enough in my mind.
