Can't get enough of this lately. Right now I like this better than Storm, but that'll change again most likely after I listen to Storm again.

I feel like I should 5 this.

Used to prefer this one but now I think they're equal. Wish I could find more albums reminiscent of this and Storm that are on the same level

Have you heard Far Away From The Sun by Sacramentum?

Sacramentum is easily the closest to Dissection in sound. Unanimated (first and second LP are worth a listen, so is their most recent tbh), A Canorous Quintet and The Moaning all have a strong Dissection vibe going on. And, to a lesser extent, Gates of Ishtar.

Oh yeah and Hyperion - Seraphical Euphony, they're modern Dissection clones but still good.

Sacramentum and Hyperion for sure. I always thought Unanimated sounded more dm than Dissection.

Yeah they def lean more towards dm than Dissection but idk there's still a fair amount of Dissection influence. I've always thought of them as melodic black/death rather than just death. I think they have a lot more in common with something like Dissection than they do stuff like Dark Tranquillity, At the Gates, or Eucharist.

Love Sacramentum and Unanimated, I'll have give Hyperion a listen. Sounds familiar but I don't think I've jammed them

Hyperion rules hard. Only one album so far but it was one of the best albums of 2016 for sure.

Yeah that album slays.

Also I know the other bands I named don't really have attractive names lol but def check them out (A Canorous Quintet - Silence of the World Beyond and The Moaning - Blood From Stone).

They're still melodeath but they both have a strong bm feel, moreso than Unanimated.

Yeah you'd dig them both for sure. I'd go with Blood From Stone first, that album is surprisingly good.

They’re close yeah. I’d take Storm if I had to pick but both essential classics.

I would probably 5/5 a Dissection album if 'Far Away From the Sun' didn't exist. (Obligatory) 'All rule hard though, obvs. m/'
