I like this album a ton, the only bad is repetition and the insane overuse of that damn crash.

It got high ratings because abr owns and so does this record... and yes i'm going to get crap for 5ing this, but this is definitive metalcore album in my opinion. this is what good, creative, diverse metalcore sounds like.
Well said. This is basically how I feel about these guys also, one of the better metalcore bands out there. I do, however, like Thrill Seeker slighly more though, but thats due to mostly the song To Late for Roses. God damn that song kicks so much ass, and it has the best metalcore breakdown, imo. This Message Edited On 08.01.08

Like I've said before, the drummer never annoys me & I really think Griener is an underrated drummer. Jordan Marcino might be faster, but he's probably as robotic as the guy from Dragonforce.
The record is good but nothing better a 4, imo.

This album is probably as good as it gets for generic metalcore.
It does nothing new, nothing original.
But it's done damn well, and it's a lot of fun.

You just called an album you rated as a 4.5 (nearly a classic) "generic metalcore. It does nothing new, nothing original."
What?

Just saw these guys on their headline tour Monday night in Baltimore. Holy crap they were sick. They opened with Composure and went straight into Truth of a Liar after it. Crowd was nuts, pits were intense, someone stage dove off the balcony and it was such a good time vibe. Them playing Carol of the Bells was pretty epic. When they played Sounding the Seventh Trumpet I was paralyzed by its beauty. Like seriously paralyzed, it got slightly bumped and felt like I had just woken up from a dream. They played an encore and Jake said we were deserving because we had been such a good crowd. They finished with the first minute of Redemption and joined it with Speech Impediment. Jake pretty much ran off stage and was shaking hands with everyone walking out the door. It was honestly awesome to see a band care that much about their fans. Great night, highly recommend you go see the tour (despite A Skylit Drive and Skyeatsairplane sucking hard). [/fanboy]

Lucky. You got an awesome show instead of a wimpy 6 song set. Not to mention Carol of the Bells live.
Did he throw a mic to the crowd for the end of Composure?

I'm seeing them on the 20th, can't wait. The opening band seems good though, might see them, go eat when those really awful bands play, then come back to see ABR. About how long was the set? This Message Edited On 09.03.08

ToWhatEnd you just got me so pumped to see them on the 26th. I've seen em 3 times, and their live show is just sheer passion I swear.
only other decent band on the tour is This or the Apocalypse imo. but ABR headlining! it's gonna be sick.

Did he throw a mic to the crowd for the end of Composure? Didn't have to since there were already at least four people on stage About how long was the set? With the encore I think they clocked in just under an hour I believe.

Yeah, they are fucking amazing live. I can't really give them enough praise, as they are my favorite metalcore band and probably in my top 5 favorite bands period.
