they have a sound that just doesn't translate well into a live setting. Or maybe they were just off when I saw them idk
i agree at least they definitely didn't nail some soundscapes live as sweetly as they do on record. some climaxes and builds in their songs weren't detectable and parts kind of blocked together out of nowhere

lol i can relate dude. i remember first listening to it and only liking the Race-In's and Snare Hanger... couldn't stand Tyondai's vocals. Took a while for it to hit me but when it did i was like "Yep." Definitely one of the most innovative albums i've ever heard.
