this album is easily the best metal album iv ever heard. It is fucking fantastic! dont knock it! Every song is fantastic, machine head meld crushing heaviness with epic melodies and even some wonderful clean singing. Rob Flynns passionate vocals combined with his and phil demmels amazing guitat drives the album to extreme peaks. Adam duce's innovative metal bass lines compliment dave mclains powerhouse drumming to form one of the strongest rhythm sections i hav ever heard. A farewell to arms, clenching the fists of dissent, slanderous and HALO are AMAZING!!!!

Ok Yeah. Ha Machine head are actually my second favourite metal band after opeth. I personally think that the Blackening is just as good as anything opethy have produced tho

Its about time they let Adam Duce's bass shine through. He had some pretty rock solid bass lines on their older albums as well. This Message Edited On 11.08.08

Nothing close to Burn My Eyes, but definitely better than their rap/metal efforts. Flynn's got a horrible metal voice imo, but there is some decent musicianship. Nothing special but not a 1/5.

Aye, I find that I have to be in a particular mood to get through 3/4 of it.

Yeah. I also never think "oh I'll listen to Machine Head now" anymore, they get old pretty fast.

yeah but bits and pieces from their albums are still fun to listen to.
I like listening to Now I Lay Thee Down, Aesthetics of Hate, Halo and a few songs off Through the Ashes of Empires now and then.
