Gabriel is objectively the most talented vocalist/frontman in prog history

His voice can be annoying at times. It's what I like least about Yes tbh. [2]

His voice is way too high pitched, plus his timbre does get annoying in the long run.

Collins sang well too, but Gabriel was definitely more influential. KC's first vocalist was great too. Waters was easily the best singer Floyd had.

All of KC's vocalists were great.

"Waters was easily the best singer Floyd had."

Waters is an awesome songwriter and a big part of the band but I think most Floyd fans would agree that Gilmour is by far the superior singer.

@KILL: do you find both Jon and Ian Anderson annoying?

The vocals on Dogs confirm that

@JT: I was considering a match-up between KC, Genesis, PF, Yes and JT; but perhaps someone else should do it.

they're too different. so many of my fav. floyd songs couldn't work with Gilmour because roger pulls the mood off better than anyone could, like Nobody Home or Sheep etc.

but you guys are right about Gilmour having a technically great-sounding voice. there are also lots of songs that no one besides gilmour could have pulled off.
