Not a fan of most Cof but this has some great tracks. Gabrielle, Absinthe of Faust, Nemesis, and Nymphetamine are pretty sick.

Im new to Cradle Of Filth.
(probably because im an old metalhead, i was not interested by them until i start exploring blackmetal)
Im at the beginning of the album and i thinks its good black/death/gothic metal, whatever you call them.

Much better than Damnation And A Day. Pretty much all the songs are good, but the title track isnt that great. A lot of people think that is their best song. Obviously those people have never heard any of their first 4 albums that are full of classics.

The title track is awesome. It's like a combination of everything I like about music: a killer melody, great female vocals, great orchestral feel, and actual good screaming vocals.

It's tolerable on this album. I've heard stuff from their older stuff and went holy fuck, this guy is grating my ears. I plan on giving their older stuff another chance but Dani has some of the craziest vocals I've heard in metal. This album's pretty good too.

you dont get controversial metal, you get controversial stuff that the band do. what you do get is good metal, bad metal, and mega super f***ing awesome metal, and CoF fall into the latter category

IMO "Damnation & a Day"(4.5/5) & "Midian(4.5/5)" are their best albums.
