also, regardless of his moral character, music is music. the words on this album still mean the same to me as they always did. if anything, the allegations provide even more basis for his own self loathing here ("if they don't lock me away, well it'll be a miracle" / "I know you're coming for the people like me")

I've consistently thought they were overrated as fuck, they make middling emo tinged indie rock that just sounds so listless and milquetoast. I'd take a Thrice album like Vheissu over this any day.

tuna, i can understand them seeming overrated, but listless? the whole band (including vocals) goes from 0 to 60 in so many songs. sowing season, jesus christ, you wont know, luca, archers, almost all of Daisy, same logic/teeth, 137, 451....all of these songs exemplify how NOT listless they are. and this is just post-Deja

Get zak in here, he'd be happy to join us. Even when I was like 15 and really getting into post hardcore/emo, they just never did anything for me. I'd try listening to this and Deja Entendu and all I could think is how much better Captain We're Sinking are or something.
