It’s been a solid run so far. I’m really digging Everything Ecstatic too. Between a 3.5 and 4 most likely.

‘There Is Love In You’ is excellent as well. Maybe listen to the ‘Glasshead’ EP, I’m just a little lonely having added it myself fairly recently.

...bit of a tangent but there ya go.

I was probably going to go through all of his LPs at some point, but I will make sure that I check Glasshead too.

Axl Rose once sang, "Nice boys don't play rock 'n' roll." Apparently, he's never met Norma Jean. While the band's peers have been busy buying their way onto Ozzfest (and Axl was working on that Chinese Democracy thing), these Atlanta, Georgia, natives have spent the last five years on the road, relentlessly playing basements and ballrooms, expanding their uniquely organic fan base with each show they play. With their second proper full-length, O'God, The Aftermath, all that work is about to come to a head - but in case you're just tuning in, here's the Cliff Notes version of the Norma Jean sto ...read more

I remember reading that, good shit.

Never really got into NJ myself but ‘One Wing’ is an old fave, I always liked The Fiancée too.

norma jean are overrated and pretty mediocre overall tbh. i binged their discog during my relentlessly metalcore days and overrated them due to them being slightly better than your bog standard core band.

They have about one LP worth of great songs stretched over 7 or however many they have now. and 3 of their best songs are all from their debut

That’s a pretty apt description of Norma Jean overall. I always saw them as the best of the mediocre metalcore scene that they were a part of.
