Funny how Iommi came with so many different riffs. He gave each of them an identity of it's own, in a way in which few guitarists have.
Mustaine has some great riffs, but I wouldn't say he came close to having Iommi's breadth in the above regard. Tbh, neither did Downing.
In fact, I don't know of any guitarist who has even come close to achieving that.

Another prolific riff-maker is Leif Edling from Candlemass.
He's quite underrated in my opinion.
But none comes close to Iommi in terms of consistency.
