Really debating on giving this a 5 or leaving it at a 4.5

"Teenagers" doesn't have the same pull as the rest, and the title track as great as it is seriously brought out the worst in some people in the MCR fanbase when the MCRX announcement came out...uugggghhhh decisions decisions

@Drifter: I just hate the fact that it's all some people ever talk about with regard to this band, I can't be a hypocrite and say "YES I LOVE THAT SONG" when I'm sick of hearing about people creaming over the first fucking note.

I guess I should've never looked in the comments section for the MCRX announcement, or literally any cover that isn't in the exact same key, or any of those cringy Ghost Killer Entertainment videos that always pop up on my feed for some reason...they obviously tainted the song for me with just how insufferable they were acting about it.

yeah, I might 5 this anyway since those two songs only drop my overall view of the record to about a 4.8/5 (Teenagers being a 3.5 and WTTBP being about a 4-4.5) plus I have the live album 5'd if I remember correctly.

I still love Three Cheers and Bullets more, but this is a damn nice record for what it is.

I should really try this album. I'm refraining on checking anything new until the new year though, save for 2-3 new albums coming out soon. One of which tonight/tomorrow!!

Three Cheers and Bullets get me more tbh

Mostly because of the vocals, especially Bullets. I LOVE that imperfect raw sound. It's got Thursday-isms all over too.

So Rock Sound placed this album at number 1 for their '250 greatest albums of our lifetime'. I really don’t get why this band is held in such a high regard. Their first two albums are pretty good, but other bands have done that kind of thing better. This album in particular is incredibly overrated, most the songs just don’t really do anything for me outside of Welcome to the Black Parade, Famous Last Words, This Is How I Disappear and The Sharpest Lives.

Love this album but sorry, it is not the best of all-time. However, it is the best of the mid-2000s emo-rock era so if that amounts to your lifetime....

Well Twenty One Pilots were Number 3 and both Palaye Royale and BVB had albums listed so yeah.

MCR aren’t emo, a lot of bands from that era aren’t actually emo but ended up getting lumped with the term.
