it's crazy to see the sheer amount of people on the deftones boards and subs not knowing how to find the leaks or how to put the files onto their listening devices. i guess being an unc does have its advantages.

Guys Eros slaps insanely hard.
To me this sounds like SNW meets KNY. Basically, an A tier Deftones record. Was hoping for a bit more unhinged Chino but Destiny, Smile, and Sable are all timers.

And here I thought this was one of the driest months for new music in a long time.
Last thing I expected to hear today but I'm very pleasantly surprised

Reminds me of a more downbeat Koi personally. Obviously its unfinished but I think it would have made a very good album.

Destiny is an all timer for me. Liminal sounding track. That being said, love Smile still obviously but holy shit Margot, Sable and Candy are also insane. I don't dislike a single song off this one. Last song reminds me of POD haha.

Eros is mythical at this point, for it to drop is the musical equivalent of god himself coming down and telling you he exists to your face.

And good fucking god, a mix of SNW and Koi? I’m gonna break down and jam it a lot sooner than I thought. I’ll wait for their official statement on it and see where I stand from there.
And for the record, this isn’t some moral high ground I’m trying to take… I just didn’t want the first time I heard it to be in the rough state it’s evidently in. Actually hearing Eros… I dunno. It sounds dramatic but I think that would provide a lot of closure for me personally. I lost a dear friend that was madly in love with this band, and she always believed we’d hear Eros at some point.
When I’m ready to listen I’ll need some fucking whiskey.

The first track is kind of devastating. Can’t really explain it, it’s just sad.
