i remember when from parts unknown released
it was my most anticipated release in 2014. i was following all the news for the record, watched videos from the studio sessions, i was basically counting the days to release
and then it came out, and i was so disappointed. it was getting so much praise, being labeled the best ETID record up to that point, and i just couldnt get into it. it was like my favorite band morphed into my other favorite band: converge. songs blended together with little to no variation aside from moor, which i didn't find all that great back then. and i stopped listening to them for years after. it wasn't until i revisited the record that i realized the mistake i'd made.
in summary, opinions change. yours probably wont and i said all of this for naught
