Mariner is #1 anyway for me.
But Vertical has this amazing steril atmosphere and for me at least above Beyond which has great songs but no unique sound

Vertikal was very difficult album to get in to but after many years i changed my mind...
Cant really choose between SATH and Salvation, both are timeless albums

The Beyond is CoL's crushingly heavy album & thus offers something different, I like Vertikal but I'd rather just play this or Salvation, it doesn't give me a sense of anything unique (for me). That doesn't mean it isn't excellent of course.
I really dig EK because that one stands out as being a little quirky in their discography.

As much as I love every album after it, I've never actually spun the Beyond. I think I've just been keeping an ace up my sleeve for an almost guaranteed love it album when a long dry spell hits in the metal world. Or something.

Im sure most of you have watched years in a day film but if you havent go check it out(its in youtube nowadays). Its easily the best live music experience made in film. DIM absolutely destroys my soul, especially the middle section where the lights go nuts. I cant get over it, i watch it everyday.
...And its time to 5 this record. What makes this album special is that this is concept album which revolves around motif of male loneliness(im sure most of you know this). Hits hard damn.
