He played the accordion when I saw them tour on It's All Crazy! It was so cool.

Greg was groovin the fuck out of that baseline too. Honestly they were immaculate last night. Matadors live was a whole different animal

did mike do that sweet thing at your show during Matadors on the build up before the solo where he kept swelling the volume super loud and then fading until he cut off the guitar signal completely? That venue was genuinely silent for a few different half measures and it was magical

I saw them a few weeks back, and Aaron didn't play the accordion for Goodbye, I but then pulled it out for Bear's Vision. Goodbye, I was a surprise and incredible live. As was New Wine, New Skins because to that point on the tour they hadn't played it

I really enjoyed the single Julia, but haven't enjoyed anything they've done since A->B Life except for the track January 1979.. Should I check this out? I didn't like the recent EP.

Check it out. You'll find something to like. Honestly, I've seen a few older fans come back around with this album so it's worth a shot. Tracks like 9:27, Hydra, and Wendy & Betsy will probably appeal to you.

idk why but aaron’s cadence/intonation on the “silk shirt for a sackcloth king” line on Matadors is so damn gratifying lol

For sure! I think that song in particular has my favorite vocal rhythms, which is probs why it’s one of my favorites in general
