I did not know that. That explains why I couldn't 1 Lonesome Crowded West and Moon & Antarctica.

Would be funny if they didn't allow people to 5 albums that have an average score of 2.0 or lower.

Don't know what some of you guys are talking about, "Light Years" is stunningly gorgeous. Simpler than a lot of their other tracks, but that's perfectly fine.

'I think for an album to be un-1'able its average has to be exactly 4.3 or higher - meaning an album with an average of, say, 4.29 can still be rated 1 or 1.5'

Damn, I still can't give 'In the Aeroplane' less than a 2/5.

Agreed Affected, it’s probably a top 5 SOTY so far. Granted it’s been a rubbish year. The song was exactly what I needed to wake up to this morning after a stressful week and right before an interview I just finished.

I never liked Light Years in the recent live recordings of it.

But, I just listened to the single and I think it broke me.

Hmmm, top 10 songs of the year so far:

- Steve Mason, Walking Away from Love

- These New Puritans, Where the Trees are On Fire

- La Dispute, Rhodonite and Grief

- Avey Tare, _Hors

- Lambchop, The New Isn't So You Anymore

- Czarface/Ghostface, Powers & Stuff

- James Blake, Don't Miss It

- The Delines, The Imperial

- Rustin Man, Vanishing Heart

- Jon Fratelli, Bright Night Flowers

I'll admit it hasn't been vintage up to this point

Are These New Puritans now making worthwhile music, what? Swerved '19 so far, kind of glad I have as not many people seem that thrilled by it.

Pretty much.

Some of the new TNP sounds like how I wished Patrick Wolf’s music turned out

Listened to Light Years on my way home from work and thought it was quite bad. Also think the first single sounds worse with each listen. Deeply upsetting.
