Every song on here is heat except the closer and even that works really well in a live setting. Their best album.

band totally blew my mind when i first heard them and got me into lots of the music i enjoy now
absolutely have an uneven discog full of bunk and rehashed ideas.
this, calc and option paralysis hold up tho

Based top 3 choices. Ire Works has a couple of jank moments but holds up pretty well considering, especially given the initial reception was mixed to say the least. Their last two are easily the least compelling

'Their last two are easily the least compelling'
100%
yeah ire works biggest crime is it has a few short n heavy tracks that are very forgettable. i quite enjoy the poppier cuts off that (think Milk Lizard got me into them?)

Same here re Milk Lizard. And yeah agreed that the heavier cuts aren’t amongst their best, which lets it down slightly. I think the fact they’re usually rather short doesn’t eat into the runtime much and alters my perception of how significant they are. They’re almost like set-ups / palate cleansers

Yeah I mean there are some minor qualms but overall its a 5/5 discog and Ire Works would be most bands best album

well yeah, these guys are incredible at their peak and that’s what matters really
I prefer to evaluate by their best material. A band constantly churning out decent but unremarkable albums isn’t as worthy of acclaim, obviously
And most core bands don’t seem to last very long, so even if they produce 1 or 2 absolute crackers, it often ends quickly, lol

Yeah I'm so proud of these guys for releasing 5 fire albums then bouncing lol
Edit: Oh, 6 I guess damn

Woof Unretrofied holds up a lot worse than I was expecting. Dunno if pop Dillinger was built to stand the test of time but

I used to think Unretrofied was awful, but I've grown to accept it
still the weakest cut here tho

Loved Unretrofied from the start.

^ Same. Heard this album again recently and that track's still lush.
One of the most earned "pop" moments on an album I can think of. Has a great air of resignation to it too.

Ya always dug Unretrofied but it’s for sure one of the weaker tracks here

Unretrofied is great but is definitely my least favourite here too. One part of the track always makes me think of the Pufflescape minigame from Club Penguin which is a huge plus imo.

Y'all insane, Unretrofied is the best.

[2] plus it was in Smackdown Vs. Raw 2006 so bonus points for that.

I mean it’s probably middle tier on this record and their discog in general. Baby’s First Coffin, We Are the Storm, Perfect Design, Panasonic Youth, and Sunshine the Werewolf shred it.
Honestly, Phone Home, and Setting Fire to Sleeping Giants are probably the only ones I like less.
But I mean, I love those songs, albums a fucking masterpiece so I’m really splitting hairs

I mean Panasonic is in the pantheon of things that fucking rule the hardest ever

This might actually be their best album. Can't stop jamming this one today and it's hitting the spot so hard.
