it's like, i haven't ever been within 100 miles of Glasgow but i listen to this and suddenly i'm nostalgic about lying in the back of a pickup on a cool summer evening with a high school sweetheart in Glasgow that i haven't spoken to in 6 years and i'm sad because it ended but happy because of how good the memories are
like, the stories this album tells are so specific to the band, but they do such an incredible job of making the themes and emotions from those stories resonate with anyone

real talk, this album does a better job than any art i've ever consumed at conveying that weird mixture of nostalgia and sadness and joy that comes with the realization that a part of your life - people, places, experiences - is slipping away and will never really fully come back to you.

Everything Ignimbrite is absolutely the aspects that make this such a god tier album. The way it's done is just perfection. Like I know The Good Days was written about something extremely specific to the band, but yet somehow it seems like it was written just for me in some way because I can relate to every single sincere word. Amazing. That's not easy to do.
