Fun fact this is the only death album that isn't bolded on rym. Kind of a weird album for them alot of ppl love it and say it's top 3 but the majority put it dead bottom. I guess I'm the latter but doesn't mean to much still rules

Coming around to thinking this album is pretty great.
I still think it's a bit weaker compared to most of Death's other stuff though. There are a lot of amazing parts sprinkled throughout, but I feel like a lot of the sections between the amazing parts are less memorable/enjoyable compared to most of Death's other albums. I feel like trimming some fat here and there would have gone a long way for this one.

Watched the 1995 Tokyo live show on YouTube and I gotta say I love the small tweaks they made to Spiritual Healing there. The double bass all throughout the solo, Chuck's tweaks to the solo itself, etc... just makes the song feel so much more epic. I'd kill for a studio rendition of that live version.
