idk i have a major soft spot for the norweigan shit cause i got heritage from norway and most of my
favourites come from there
but yeah it's really about who sounds good and what style is yr preference... and for me most of my
favs come from norway, including several bands who defined bm so...idk

Yeah I'm not trying to say Norwegian BM isn't good, because that's obviously a dumb statement. There's a ton of great Norwegian BM bands, with Windir for example being one of my favorite bands overall. I just prefer a couple other countries' BM scenes because they seem to be less saturated by the boring, similar sounding bands that sometimes plague the Norwegian (and even Swedish) scenes.

This is up on my top Metal albums, along with Downward Spiral, Jane Doe, Sunbather and Lateralus. It's simply beautiful, astonishing, yet haunting and dark.

"This is up on my top Metal albums, along with Downward Spiral"
NIN really ain't metal bro. Not in my book anyways.
Dang, so hard to choose between this and PF. Thought it was easy, but then I jam this, and it gets harder.

I Am the Wooden Doors is the best song on here even though the grammar in its title is severely lacking

I just love the octave switches they do. They do the same thing on PF.

Honestly I dunno if I could choose between this and PF, I need more time.

This album is amazing and all, but I'm starting to think PF was a bit more focused and had a slightly fresher sound. Don't get me wrong, this still rules hard, but I think I'm starting to prefer PF.
That would align me with Nero's opinion, although he and me could come to disagree on TSatS, so we'll see.
