I very distinctly remember buying this CD and how insanely fucking pumped I was to hear it. At that point, the only tracks I had heard were Spoonman and Black Hole Sun. I had no idea what I was in for. I had Badmotorfinger on cassette already and loved that album, but I had just graduated to CDs lol. Those were the days.

Yeah. It was freaky as shit, but I never didn't want to watch it. And who says music videos don't adversely affect children? That one sunbathing girl and Kelly Preston in Battlefield Earth have given me the weirdest fetish...

Love every track here basically, even Head Down (has a creepy vibe I like). Half is the only meh song.

Difficult to pick a favorite. Contenders are Let Me Drown, Fell on Black Days (plated out now but was probably my fav track when this came out in high school), Mailman, 4th of July. And fucking Limo Wreck. Not getting nearly enough accolades here.

I was also 15 when this came out, like Bighans. It was big, especially Black Hole and Fell On. Came out the same day as The Downward Spiral. This was number 1 on the billboards and TDS was number two.

He couldn't take care of his voice. All that belting eventually took its toll. :[

Yeah, in the early-mid 2000s he sounded really rough, but he improved again in the 2010's. Must've taken vocal coaching to get back there.

Man I know it sounds cliche but I really wish I was 10-15 years older. Being able to see all my favorite bands in their prime is something I’d kill for.

The problem with that is, if you were 10-15 years older they may not have been your favourite bands. xD

Yeah, first and second really. Never understood the argument that his voice was shot when he started singing for Audioslave. His voice might have been fine on their third album too, it's just that album sucks in general. I know his voice was a little shaky for a lot of their live performances, but that's to be expected with the kind of range and intensity he was always going for over so many years. He made it work in the studio though.
