Custer sounds like the worst parts of old Slipknot, probably one of the worst ones on the new record

Custer is probably one of the best for me because it reminds me of that 6-minute period at the end of S/t that goes Eeyore, Me Inside and Get This, which is probably the best moment of the album.

Yup. I found some songs I liked a little, the rest are unmemorable pile.

I haven't relistened to it yet, and my first listen I was drunk. So idk how I really feel about it.

I'm gonna have to give it a relisten sooner or later if I want to get a review out at a competant time

When I first heard The Negative One & The Devil in I, I was so excited but the rest of the album is such a chore to listen to.

Props to whoever chose the three singles, because they're the only memorable tracks off the album for
me.
EDIT: Oh yeah, it's worth noting that Custer got released as a single a couple days ago.

Was Snuff a single? Because that song rules.
Sarcastrophe is definitely a standout track for me, as is If Rain Is What You Want.

Killpop and The Devil Inside have my favorite moments of the album while Sarcastrophe and The Negative One are the most enjoyable.

Well, it mustn't have been difficult to chose the singles, then. ''Oh, yeah, the new Slipknot album... With
the Devil in I, The Negative One, Custer... and...and the other songs... Yep, I know what to chose for
singles.''
I like Sarcastrophe though, that thingie that drums do at parts that sounds like the drummer hits a
radiator, it reminds me of Surfacing off their s/t.

Do you not mean "least-favourite", or is there a difference between enjoyable and favourite?

If Rain Is What You Want is another highlight.
At least .5: The Gray Chapter isn't useless aside from the singles, like on here.

This has many songs I like, Gematria, Psychosocial,Sulfur,Dead Memories and Sulfur. I'll relisten it because I can't remember much of the others. I know I despise ''The Butcher's Hook'' and ''Gehenna''(coo' name tho)

Mythodea those are all the singles lol
Froot I meant the ones I found enjoyable were fast and fun to listen to while Killpop and Devil (and Rain too) had great atmosphere, especially in the verses. So those 5 are my favorites

My problem with Death Memories and The Devil In I is that they are like 85% chorus. They both have great choruses, and I get that they are the 'singles' of each respective album but those choruses are almost the ENTIRE tracks.
Gehenna has a great beginning but I can't even listen to it anymore because of that strange falsetto shit and weird temp change that plagues that song. That song should have been awesome.
Gematria, Psychosocial, Sulfur, Snuff and This Cold Black are all sweet, though.
