@LilLioness Fair enough. Album is overblown and overlong but In The Flesh and Comfortably Numb are fantastic.

honestly Nobody Home is one of my favorite songs of all time, by far my favorite song off of this. feels like that hardly gets any love at all.

Just because the songs don't stand well on their own doesn't make them filler. Hardly a song on here that is actually skippable. They all make each other better, you won't appreciate comftorably numb if you havent gone through the journey of the previous tracks. All of this was planned, it was not supposed to be immensely enjoyable musically from start to finish like wywh. This album is underrated. Listen to it at work or sometime when you have time to kill and aren't so anxious for the classic tracks to come up, it's a classic no doubt

Well I appreciate Comfortably Numb just as much (perhaps more) when I listen to it on it's own.
Listening to it within the context of the album just makes me think why couldn't the rest of the album be this good.

Lambs, no one said exactly that. Filler doesn't mean a song that doesn't stand well on its own. A filler is something that could easily be skipped over. Meaning the album is way too long with in unnecessary songs galore. Also comfortably numb stands tall as a stand alone song.

Not true at all considering I always loved listening to Comfortably Numb on its own but by the time the album got there I was just sick of hearing the album altogether

Standing well on their own doesn't make them filler either, filler is a song that heavily reuses already established ideas from the album and does not go to any bigger extent with it. This can be said about a quite a bit of this album, I haven't heard this in a long time so I couldn't say if they SOUND the same, but a lot of this FEELS the same, not to mention it's so bloated and lacking in soul.
"Album is underrated"
No it's not.

Someone name some "filler" songs, and ill show you how they are actually necessary to the album.
Not true at all considering I always loved listening to Comfortably Numb on its own but by the time the album got there I was just sick of hearing the album altogether I meant the other songs that don't stand well on their own are better appreciated when you listen to them in during the full album. Comfortably Numb is one of the few songs that stands well on its own, but I still think it is better in the context of the album.
