There's quite a lot more to it than "just making up violent stories", it sounds like you are implying that what eminem does here is an easy thing that anyone could have done the way he did. First of all we have Stan and Kim, which have a little more going on, are a bit more emotionally involved than "just" a "made up story". Then there are a LOT of tracks that are not violent stories at all, but rather touch on multiple topics and mostly are responses and provocations towards his critics. I don't get what you mean.
What makes this so good is that it's so energetic, you can feel how much tension and stress he must have been carrying. He is just expressing himself so fiercely, which is what makes it so involving, for me. Calling it "just violent stories" does not capture the full picture.

I'm not saying "anyone can do this" or "its JUST violent stories" but one flaw this album has, that makes it not a 5, is its not very diverse. He was begging for attention with goofy violent stories to create media controversy during this time, and filled up too many tracks with them - although this is better than the SLim Shady LP. I think the Eminem Show is better than both because he actually has something unique to say.
