If 'stones from the sky' doesnt crush then just pay some chick to stand on your sack with some sparkling stilettos to see if you have any feeling there at all.

4.2 is way too low for this album. Should be like 4.8 minimum agreed

"Show me another metal album thats emotionally potent as this one, I'll wait."

Panopticon, How To Measure A Planet?, etc etc... there are plenty, still good tho, digging it so far besides the clear change in the sound

TSIB and Times Of Grace are the biggest winners to me at this point

Yeh, let's switch HTMAP for Sunbather, Teethed Glory & Injury and Settler

Cult of Luna and Amenra probably are the biggest competitors of this band in terms of emotional potency.

nice mindrot dig btw. but ya CoL are definitely one of the harder post metal acts to get into. but now they're easily one of my favorite bands of all time. first two LPs are brutally heavy and abrasive hardcore-tinged post metal. from salvation onwards, they retained their heaviness but incorporated more melodic and post-rocky passages
