“Trending downwards” it’s been a 4.3 for like a year

The spoken word stuff pushes this down to a 4.5 for me, if they had added a few more "killer ass" heavy tracks instead it would have been a 5.

Agreed. Ditch body behavior and it's much better.

Garden Route should’ve gotten the axe then the “is it a 5?” conversation could start

It sounds like the soundtrack to a horror movie I love it, Incidental 2 is by far their best interlude and I was honestly so fine with them working it into their set

I do have it 5’d so I’d say I love it all lol but my point was that it’s perfectly long content wise as is I’d just pull the interludes not because they’re bad but because they add length that’s otherwise mildly unnecessary after you’ve spun it a ton

And frankly that’s almost always how I feel personally about interludes. Even when they’re done well, they seem like “fat” after you’re familiar with the album. I end up skipping them a lot

“ body behavior rules, rough takes itt”

[2] might be my favorite behind Winona and Revelator

I'm inclined to agree with you on the matter with interludes.

I get the 'fat' analogy entirely.

Body Behavior is a highlight

And I find the incidental tracks pretty essential to the pacing

I think if anything the first half of the album is a little fluffed up track-wise, garden state into heathen doesnt grab me on repeated listens

The Incidentals are essential [2], especially II fucking rules [2].

As for the traditional tracks, my ranking is:

Amethyst (S-tier)

Revelator (S-tier)

Heathen (S-tier)

Magnolia (S-tier)

Doberman (S-tier)

Winona (A-tier)

Body Behavior (B-tier)

The Marvelous Orange Tree (B-tier)

The Garden Route (B-tier)

Heathen is really the only track here that I'd consider top-notch tbh. Amethyst is second, but pretty distant for me.

It surpasses mental cognition as to why you seem to dislike this so much Hawks!
