lol why does this sound more like VDC than any of the other "check this if you like VDC" stuff I've heard
|
| |
cuz its got the drum n bass vibes
|
| |
context is everything. it should matter to you lol, because it 1000000% matters to the game's composers
|
| |
context is the second most important part of all music
the first is dynamics (duh!!)
Nice avi revival Ryus
|
| |
which are the two things the BK soundtrack has going for it
|
| |
thx johnny
best album cover ever
|
| |
probably 15th most important is the amount of chords a song has
|
| |
the most important is how many drum fills there are

all I'm saying is the Super Mario Galaxy OST is some of the best music ever made, the Banjo ost is irritating after 2 minutes
|
| |
Damn that is an awful take.

the crack I'm smoking has nothing to do with this
|
| |
the banjo remixes in smash sound more like that, and tbh I MUCH prefer the originals
|
| |
those songs were written with n64 midi in mind

It's interesting you mention the two chords thing too, because that's def on purpose. Each song can be boiled down as a reprise or new perspective on the Banjo Kazooie theme. The whole soundtrack is one song extended into infinite different vibes and genres, while still sounding consistent. I think that's brilliant.

"Each song can be boiled down as a reprise or new perspective on the Banjo Kazooie theme. The whole soundtrack is one song extended into infinite different vibes"
how can it have infinitely different vibes but be 20 versions of the same song?
