The combined track is still boring. Like most of this album.

10,000 Days and Right In Two is some of their best work imo

Lateralus = better as a whole

Aenima = better as individual songs

Idk maybe I just have a sweet spot for Lateralus because it got me into prog music. Plus almost everything about it is perfect imo. Gotta jam Aenima again cause I haven't heard it in a while.

call me lazy, but I give up on Lateralus a few minutes after I make it passed the title track. Still a really good album.

Is Aenima worth checking out if I didn't dig Undertow too much? You guys have me interested cause I've always dug a handful of songs off Tool albums more than the entire work as a whole

Aww dude you didn't make it to Reflection on Lateralus! Haha my personal favorite song by them. Some of Maynard's best lyrics on that song.

aenima is great throughout but lateralus is as refined as tool has gotten. the last three songs on lateralus are gorgeous too, don't count them out because they're a bit more repetitive than most tool songs. the way the melody flows in disposition and the vibe of reflection..... some of my favorite tool songs for sure.

@mongi reflection might be my favorite tool song as well.

I think that was the point of Reflection though. It's repetitive, but the lyrics are really uplifting. It just explodes towards the end. Disposition is so soothing too.

Disposition/Reflection/Triad, best sequence ever.

Agreed. Or you can hear the entire Lateralus in the form of "the Holy Gift", Tool's mind blowing gift.

I did. But it totally ruined the album for me. I didn't get it. The sequence is perfect as it is.

I feel like Triad should have been a better song and then they should have ended it on that. The build from Disposition to Triad is perfect and leads into a final climax that just isn't there
