there are some really wretched lyrical lines but overall it's good. I can't tell if it's actually better than the last two or if I've finally come to terms with the fact that Mastodon just isn't the band I fell in love with anymore.

New album is slightly better than this imo or maybe it's the classie case that Sevengill described. Also yes the production on the new be does hurt

new one suffers from mediocre production and could be a bit longer, if songs didn't end as abruptly as they do. But I'm satisfied so far, I've found some good songs and Brent solos constantly.
