If we are ever to get anything new, I'd like for it to be something different from their "current" heavier sound

I've yet to check these guys' entire discog which is a travesty. Last album I checked was Presto and didn't love it but one of these days I need to check the rest of their albums.

Oh yeah, can't really say that I am a diehard fan. Maybe more of a fan of their '70s stuff and Moving Pictures but I enjoy mostly their Fly by Night - Hemispheres run.

Agreed. Roll the bones and test for echo are rush’s weakest

Roll the Bones is amazing tbh. It's crazy how hard it grew on me.

"ahhh dropping my rating for this, regretfully"

That's sad somehow Titan bro. I was close to 5ing it last time I gave it a go.

Davil bro, it just hasn't held up as well as 8 or so of their other albums.....perhaps it's the production, perhaps a little bit of style....but hey, that's one of the reasons they are the best band on the planet in my opinion......you have 3 different eras and styles to choose from depending on the mood

as for this roll the bones cackle, some of you mofo's gonna make me put the gloves on

I love this. The only reasons I don't have it higher than 4.5 is the production and too much singing.

Ummm Nick Nick Raskulinecz did a fantastic job with the production. I love the "sonic booms" strategically placed through out the album.

Sure but I more just meant the compression and how loud it is, which is a problem a lot of modern rock albums have, like 13 by Black Sabbath and the album of my gif.

the lows were produced way too loud......like a basketball bouncing down the street

for those of you wondering:

"It's been a little over two years since Rush last toured. We have no plans to tour or record any more. We're basically done. After 41 years, we felt it was enough. ..."
