In totally different mindsets, too. Wasn't he a bit messed up during those Strapping years? Or did he only do that for Alien?
|

Album Rating: 5.0
He was messed up during the recording of these from a mental standpoint, exhausted and angry with the business and everything from Steve Vai. Alien was much more self inflicted, but not really "going off of his meds to be crazy" like the rumors say. He has an autobiography out that is extremely insightful, details his whole career pretty much and he goes really deep into his state of mind during the recording of each album.
