"Makes low teens sound like a b-side comp in comparison."
Best description I've seen of low teens.
Two songs save it: map change and coin. But it sure is a slog to listen to and I would always rather just listen to FPU. Let's see how time affects that.

Wait you don't like Cult or Petal?

each song off low teens has it's own identity, petals impact is sharpened by the hard rock track it remembers, cult was the first etid sounding track on the album, i guess my point is that every album before felt like most songs had no identity because a lot of the songs sounded the same, when they incorporate melody i feel they are at their height, as much as i love fpu i feel that a lot if it is too samey and without identity, but i'd argue with low teens each song is unique, interesting and different

I totally understand what you mean but have the opposite opinion on the outcome of such proceedings.
FPU is just all around a banger and so i can listen to it from start to finish. It is the most cohesive of their albums and great to listen to in one go.
LT on the other hand sounds like a bunch of b-sides (thanks pika). It is not cohesive at all so it makes listening to the whole album a slog. It just seems like a bunch of songs trying different things, suceeding here, failing there.

Low Teens definitely doesn't get as much love as it should. I completely agree with you Element.

to me low teens is 8.5/10 like everything they do. It's their most adventurous, though, and easily so.
It Remembers is such good.

FPU is usually my favorite because of how straightforward and brutal it is. Then Ex Lives, then probably Low Teens. Lot to love with most of their output though. Seeing them live was NUTS

Can’t really agree with Low Teens not getting enough love when it has their highest avg. I think it does have some of their absolute highlights mixed with some solid, but not great tracks.

For me right now it's FPU>NJA>Ex=LT>HD.
Haven't heard others enough so can't give opinion.
