Arif always seemed like the heart and soul of this era of the band for me. Was unsurprised when he left to pursue theatre - narratively and lyrically this feels like it could be a stage musical that just happens to be performed by a metal band. Would be interesting to see a stage adaptation of it sometime (and probably more cringe than Hamilton)

Not sure Johnny! Honestly I will quite often get the urge to listen to just Sequioa Throne or something during a workout and end up letting the whole album play through. It’s definitely a rarity in the genre in that the band sound like they’re having the absolute time of their lives recording and playing those songs, and I find it infectious.

Sequioa Throne may very well be my favourite PTH song but Fortress is my least go-to PTH record I reckon. They don't have a bad album though.
