Can't wait until they make a sequel to this called Augmented/Diminished.

After two listens, it’s a 4 for me. It could easily go up a bit. Seems like a grower. Not quite as good as Vheissu and Beggars imo — on par with Alchemy Vols 1 and 2.

This album kills in the end. The last four song stretch is by far the best section (words-listen-anthology-disarmed). Probably my four fav songs on the album, along with Promises and Call it in the air.

Nice.
Words and Promises are my two favorites. Then Listen and Call it in the Air. Only song I am meh on is Blur.

Yeah, out of all of those songs, my favorite is probably Anthology. Call It and Disarmed in close second place.
I think this will continue growing on me.

I think Anthology tends to be a favorite, but for whatever reason, it isn't as much as a standout for me as the others I mentioned.

At any rate, great album. Curious to see how it stands compared to the rest of the discog after a few more listens.
Just got To Be Everywhere... and Palms to go and I’m done with the Thrice discog. I’m honestly sad it’s coming to an end, but I’ll be spinning all their albums repeatedly over the years to come. What a band. So glad I gave them a chance.
Got a bunch of albums in queue. The new Chevelle, Brand New discog, Isis discog, brother sister and untitled from mewithoutyou. Then new Muse and Pumpkins coming up. So it’s not all bad lol.
Been meaning to check out Isis for a minute. Bought all their albums probably 3-4 months ago but for some reason haven’t started . Gonna go with Brand New next though.

I have yet to find mewithoutyou appealing. I have tried a few times but I just do not like them.

Don’t forget about Illusion of Safety ;)
Agreed about not liking mewithoutyou. Highly respected and my friends absolutely adore them but most of their music is like watching paint dry for me

Yeah I did give a quick listen to mewithoutyou Untitled and it sounded pretty good, but not as amazing as everyone is saying. I’m having a hard time with his vocals, sounds like he’s just talking at times. Will probably just take some getting used to. I did like Julia and Sweater Poorly Knot is amazing.

Yup I have IOS! I’ve listened once and definitely like what I hear, but I’ll go back to it after and give it my full attention.

Fucking love the outro to Promises.
This is inching damn close to a 4.5 for me. And I’m not able to definitively say that Beggars is better than this now. They’re pretty comparable.

This is a definite grower and it probably took me a few years for it to climb it's way to my number 2 in their discog

Most of their albums have been growers for me...some more than others. Beggars being probably the biggest.

This and Beggars were definitely the biggest growers for me, probably because I was so used to them being a heavier band. Unfortunately, TBEITBN and Palms haven't grown on me at all. I might even like them less now than when I first heard them.

☹️.
So I’ve heard about TBE and Palms — but primarily Palms. I’m prepared to be disappointed, but damn, these being my last two Thrice albums...I’m really hoping not. Maybe my low-ish expectations will help.

Both albums have some truly stellar songs that I absolutely adore - Hurricane, The Window, Black Honey, The Long Defeat, Blood On Blood, Beyond the Pines - but both albums also have plenty of the most generic songs they’ve ever written. If they’d made one album with all of the best tracks from both, I’d probably be praising the shit out of it. I’m not going to tell you to go in with low expectations, because you’ll be reminded of Vheissu/Alchemy/Beggars with plenty of the songs, just don’t expect the same level of song writing across the entire albums because post-hiatus Thrice just is not the same band as pre-hiatus Thrice
