Head Down and Half are the only questionable tracks. Everything else is an absolute masterpiece or at least damn good.

Fell On Black Days has one of my favourite guitar lines ever.
Did Cornell write everything here or?

Always thought Soundgarden was his band tbh, everything I've heard has been so good.
Down On the Upside and Badmotorfinger are rockers.

Band is great man, I wasn't there in the 90s so I can't really comment beyond my subjective opinion, but they should have been bigger.

Saw them back in '12 at a festival, wasn't a fan back then though and it breaks my heart knowing how much I've come to love the band now.

I was 15 when this came out. I can tell you it was absolutely massive. Spoonman was the first single, but man, when Black Hole Sun came out, it just exploded. This was back in the day when radio and videos still mattered, so when something was big, you really could feel it.
Sebastian Bach from Skid Row wrote a totally badass review of this for RIP magazine which I cannot find online sadly.

Yeah, I remember Black Hole Sun and Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer being in heeeaaavvvyyyy rotation. Or maybe it just felt that way because they had such distinctive videos. Those where the fucking days. Come back from school and plop yourself on the carpet to watch some MTV before heading out to the playground.
