nope hard truth. this record is metallica pandering to the same people they basically said fuck off to back in the mid 90's.

at least this record isn't two steps away from Nickelback. Why anyone likes radiorock Metallica is beyond me.

"this record isn't two steps away from Nickelback."
that's exactly what this is.
if nickelback ever played thrash metal for whatever reason I assure you it would sound like this.
|
| |
this is the most mainstream, commercial sounding thrash metal album that's ever been released
|
| |
it's barely even thrash to be honest

if you say this is what Nickelback would sound like as a thrash band then you must really hate the black album huh?
|
| |
no why would you make that connection
|
| |
uh there's no contradiction in my posts. I said this album is commercial sounding thrash metal. That's it.
Black album is not even close to radio rock (for clarity's sake let's call it buttrock from now on). Yes it's rock that gets played on radio, but it sounds nothing like nickelback or alter bridge or foo fighters.

It's basically an album that lasts way too long and has the most brickwalled, eardrum shattering production in the universe.
