I received my physical copy of this the other day, may give it a spin to commemorate the occasion.

Listened to this all the way through for the first time in a while tonight, and actually for the first time on vinyl. I pre-ordered the whole set of re-releases when The End records put them out but have been waiting for the right time to listen. I've heard this album hundreds of times but hearing it on this format was an incredible experience. I was dissapointed that Scars of the Shattered Sky was not included though. I will track down a physical copy with the song eventually. It will probably never happen but I will never stop hoping for some sort of reunion someday if the guys can eventually figure out their differences.

It's been in the 80's and even 90's for the past two weeks, which is quite out of character for Northern Illinois and it finally dropped into the 60's today.

Agalloch fit best when it's cooler and gloomier, but they're always great, no matter the weather.

Eh, when it's too sunny out it actually bothers me to put them on lol
The atmosphere is just too strong for it to match with summer for me
I was able to deal because I was listening to a record in my basement this morning, but if I was outside there would be no way

Yeah I usually don't listen to them at all in the summer, but then I listen to them more than anything else in the winter and fall. It's been in 50s-60s now for the last week and we got some higher elevation snow. So it's almost prime weather for the loch.

I can listen to Agalloch any time of year, they are my favorite band and they never get old for me, but I will definitely agree their atmosphere is more poignant in Fall and Winter. I once listened to Falling Snow while walking through a snow storm and it was honestly incredible.

"it's almost agalloch season! literally an 'autumn/winter' band for me, haven't jammed em since last winter"
havent seen a winter for years, but i only jam them when it's overcast or like really rainy. feels weird af jamming them with the sun out and in 30 degrees
somewhat OT, looks like we both rated this exactly 6 years ago today lol

yeah especially when i drive up to really snowy areas, atmospheric black metal in general is fitting.
huh nice catch 0_0 that's odd maybe we jammed it or something unless it was just a coincidence.
also celcius makes me lol because 30 degrees sounds cult as f to me.
