i see. all i know is that i had a way different musical mindset when i first started getting into these guys, and yet they're still one of my favorite bands. also it seems like like OP is the obvious choice for their best (if we do away with the notion that it goes to CI), but i suppose it is a little grandiose. and i get preferring the production on this or Miss Machine. i'm just glad they've got to mess with so many different sounds

OP refined everything and is their most well rounded/mature/versatile but I couldn't call it their best. If someone called it their fav I wouldn't mind, it's just I'm not a fan of Gold Teeth on a Bum or Chinese Whispers.

those songs do simplify things a bit, especially Chinese Whispers. probably half the reason they get the reception they do is because DEP is the band that made them haha. same with Black Bubblegum. like it's a great song and all, but best on this album? no. one of the best DEP songs? hell no.

Chinese Whispers still bangs.

This has always been my fave, just love how they went completely down the rabbit hole and experimented like hell.

ranking dillinger is hard because they all rule to some degree; i will say their two newest held my interest for the shortest time.

the fact we're all commenting on a 2 review for this is sad asf though

"On that note: Dissociation is better than Ire Works."

If every track is as good as Limerent Death it's gonna be their worst album.
