Different strokes I suppose fam.
I gotta say when they announced they were doing this I was just thinking that it would be a low effort trainwreck but to me they’ve clearly put a lot of thought into it. I’ll def be giving it a listen tomorrow

i'm just surprised something so overblown and overproduced is getting such a warm reaction is all. genuinely surprising.

A lot of them suck dick but idk, im kinda hyped for this one. The way I see it is this one’s for the super fans and also people that just don’t really fuck with this record… I’ll catch hell for this one but i genuinely love The Artist in the Ambulance re-recording and I always thought that the original was overrated as hell
But there’s absolutely more bad ones than good ones. I adore Touché Amore, for sure a whole lot more than Thrice or BMTH, but I really can’t stand their Dead Horse X record. It’s worse in every way imo, aside from the killer cover art. I hate when something I don’t fuck with has amazing art, makes it hard to justify copping it on vinyl.

Relistening to this before the new one drops and bumping it to a 4. Album is fun and immature and just balls to the wall the whole time. Definitely appreciate it more now. Those hard pans during the solos though are too much lol

Man the drums on the remaster are an abomination, could not sound more programmed if they tried I don’t think

Holy shit, how did I never know Thrice re-recorded Artist lol. Seeing as how I’m a fan and all. Crazy. 2023 was a pretty crazy…Hazy year though.
Listening to the Silhouette re-recording now. Not feeling it, at least not compared to the original. Paper Tigers is pretty good and interesting though.

i think repented sounds good otherwise but i'll most likely just keep spinning the original after this weekend. i do think its exciting that they're willing to dip their toes in this sound again tho, maybe going back to a more guitar-based sound is the move after fish's departure.
