I've only heard 12 of those specific releases but it's indeed a solid list, would probably give it a generous light 7/10 - generous due in part to my own general ineptitude/polarising weirdness when it comes to core taste, I'm sure it's better than that and in a year my opinion will likely differ, as always.
I'm not exactly a core truther, yet in my somewhat limited experience I've found plenty of good stuff already. It's lazy to dismiss the wider genre(s).

Thanks Mort, as it happens I've already started to delve through your list (as well as Calmrose's one), haven't got particularly far in yet (starting with early 90s stuff), but I will continue on this journey in due course.

Isn't this band more of a hardcore act with some metal influences? They're pretty different from regular metalcore

Metallic hardcore yeah, but there is always a grey area. Some of the early metalcore artists now sound a lot closer to hardcore through a modern lens, the goal posts have just been adjusted over time.

I would imagine all 17% beers are equally as brutal to be fair, although maybe there's a pattern here. Do you only get low-alcohol variants at indie-folk beer festivals for instance?
