Check the X-Ecutioners - Built From Scratch album, although it's more hip-hop

This album was the tits when I was 13 and one of the first cd's I ever bought. I played that damn cd more times than I can count. When, after a long while, I gave this album another spin recently, I just didn't like it anymore...
It's a sad feeling when you're forced to piss on your own nostalgia...

Made a "remix" of Points of Authority using the demos of the song as well as the studio and the Reanimation version of the song. I still consider it a work in progress, especially being that I'm trying to figure out how to place one more demo of the song and I want to make the more obvious transitions between the audio quality in demos to be as seamless as possible

Even in my Linkin Park phase I absolutely abhorred every ounce of this album's being. The chemistry between Mike and Chester only working incredibly well on a handful of tracks and the rest is formulaic, heavy pop. Bar few, almost every song fails at keeping the rap intro/verse/chorus(2x)/regurgitate rap intro/final chorus fresh like Meteora did and the underdeveloped chemistry heavily cripples the other songs that try to experiment with the formula. However, this album does contain the band's greatest song written which is Points of Authority which is a tight, heavy, and catchy song on Chester getting off his chest his experience of being molested by an "older friend." Only good tracks on the album are: Papercut, With You, Points of Authority, and Pushing Me Away. Every other song on this album is abysmal trash.

Also it never stood for linkinparkforthewin
