Yeah Reckless and Relentless is really good (but really bad at the same time).

"venin what's so great about mathcore to you" dillinger evolved beyond pure mathcore and jane doe encompasses the rawest form of pure emotion in an album that extreme I've ever heard.

also Wax Wings is hands down the best song on this album next to Thanks Nobuo

wax wings stood out initially but it's probably because i kept hearing melodic similarities to catch fire, i honestly like that song more, esp on the lyric side

for me nobuo's weirdly my least favorite here, i wished it hit for me like satellites/lune did on the previous 2 albums but the structure is totally backwards lmao

these guys are the masters of build-up, so much to the extent that the build up to the moment inherently becomes a part of the moment. wax wings is a great example of this and has always been one of my favorite traits of this band, that chorus just goes so hard it makes me wanna take singing lessons just to nail it

Dracul Gras is another great example of what I mean, I just happen to be a big fan of the back half of Thanks Nobuo, it just rubs me the right way

nobuo's "another trigger in mind" melody is some nickelodeon shit and it makes my skin crawl but otherwise i like that song lol. used to think it was their worst closer but id way rather jam it than lune these days

that little diddy is definitely way outside of their comfort zone I think, I could guarantee that none of them thought they'd collectively come up with that part, but I think it's one of those live-show pieces they'd use to get the crowd hyped up, a hype-tactic if you will. definitely caught me off guard first listen but it's a small part to a bigger song so I can forgive them for it
