seeing bands live with one guitarist when they clearly should have both a rhythm and lead guitarist absolutely does not hit

Ok revisiting this for the first time in a long ass time and I have to say, while Marcus’s cleans are not very good here and are probably the primary weakness, musically this rips man. On par with their first 2, only a slight step down maybe. Feels like the leads aren’t quite as good but the chug patterns are excellent

Musically this was so much more interesting than what followed.

Marcus sounds a lot more passionate on this album than Heavener. I love the way he belts out these choruses.

I agree with that also, he just can’t hit the notes. Or couldn’t at this point in time. I bet he would crush this now

He is a very competent vocalist - he has quite a varied range but admittedly he didn't reach his full potential until after this album.

I think this album is rather underrated in the riff department
