Does anyone here like Nothing the best?
Or am I just alone here

I love Nothing but it doesn't manage to scratch the top 3 for me. Though Straws Pulled At Random is like a career defining track imo

I totally agree. That's just one of the reasons I find this album pretty boring. They kind of do something similar at the end of Stifled (if I remember correctly) but it's nowhere near as impactful. I really wish they branched out a little bit more, this is the safest album I've ever heard in my life

I got into them when Nothing (original version) came out so that will always have a special place in my heart - not my favorite, though

And tbh I thought Koloss was safer - Demon's name was basically just Bleed, Break Those Bones was Catch 33, Marrow solo was Chaosphere, etc
Also the end of Stifled/beginning of Nostrum was one of my favorite parts of the album :-/
But agreed that Straws Pulled at Random is a highlight off that album

I thought it was the end of Stifled but yeah, it's be a while since I listened to this all the way through so maybe it's Nostrum. By The Ton and the closer are acceptable, the rest I just find kind of bloodless and mind-numbing.

Ok we can't be friends anymore. Koloss in not safe man, every song on that album has its own identity. There's so much variety going on there, you sure you not mixing it up with this one? Lol...

Next album will have a few ballads, I'm sure of it

I want Meshuggah pop songs about relationships and music videos that take place on a beach

I don't know about pop songs, but if they did like a more ambient-driven album I'd die.

Album like Last Vigil would rule hard.

Lmao yeah I agree, it would be interesting to see them go in that direction
Koloss was a bit too clean agreed - I was so happy the first time I heard the production here and realized they basically just went in the opposite direction of Koloss as far as that goes
I need a new Meshuggah album now, it's been long enough

Damn, I could not disagree more. I find this album inferior as far as production goes AND the songs themselves. I don't know what you find progressive about this exactly, this is the exact same shit they've been doing for ages.

Lucca is too busy fapping to the poster of Haake over his bed to formulate a coherent opinion at this moment

Probably subliminal messages in their music telling us to trigger "normies"

"Lucca who u agree with here? Need the resident meshuggah fanboy's opinion"
Wait on what?
"Lucca is too busy fapping to the poster of Haake over his bed to formulate a coherent opinion"
Lmao you think I made it this far in life by NOT knowing how to juggle jerking off to Haake with every other responsibility I have?
